Spring has sprung at Ballinaclash! The apricot, peach, plum and nectarine blossoms are in full bloom and the cherry blossom is about to burst. The bees are buzzing and the boys are busy!

The 2017 Thomas Cabernet Sauvignon has won Top Gold plus two trophies for Best Cabernet Sauvignon and Best Red Wine of Show at the 2018 NSW Small Winemakers’ Show and we are delighted to be heading over to Forbes to celebrate at their annual presentation dinner. Cellar Door and Farmgate Shop opening
We are hoping to open our Cellar Door and Farmgate Shop a little earlier this year in order to extend the Ballinaclash experience for our valued customers. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram for announcement of our opening.
In the orchard
Small amounts of rain have fallen periodically over the last month, keeping things green and we hope for more Spring rain. We are fortunate however, to have a reliable bore and irrigation system as a backup when the rain doesn’t fall ensuring adequate water for our trees and vines.
Vineyard pruning is complete and the planting of the new Shiraz and Riesling is imminent. Last but not least, Kip, our new pup, is growing into a great orchard, vineyard and sheep dog!
