Here’s the latest important update on the 2022 cherry season:

Due to the prolonged cool weather, our cherries are taking longer than usual to ripen. As a result, if you are booked in between November 11th and November 16th, we will unfortunately not have ripe cherries for you to pick.

We are still going to open up our Cellar Door and Farm Gate Shop, and you are still very welcome to visit us for cherry pies, cherry ice cream, cherry jam, cherry sauces and cherry wine.
Wine tasting, cheese platters and cherry pie making classes will also be available. These can be booked via our website. BALLINACLASH WEBSITE

For the above dates, we will allow you to enjoy a wander through the orchard and will of course waiver the minimum pick of $10 per person for this period.
As explained when you booked, every cherry season is different and unpredictable due to circumstances beyond our control, usually the weather. It is therefore impossible as growers, to give an exact beginning and end of season date.

If you would like to change your booking to a later date, please rebook via our website. Here’s the link:
BOOK PICK YOUR OWN
If you wish to cancel or postpone your original booking, we would appreciate you emailing us to let us know.

This year, December is going to be a good time to go cherry picking. We have bookings open up until December 18th at the moment, but the way things are going, we may well have cherries into the new year. If so, we will open up later dates as the season progresses.

As always, we encourage you to regularly check these updates as conditions and availability can change quickly.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you soon at Ballinaclash.

Kind regards,
Cath
