Although we are going to have a few wet days mid-week, sunshine is forecast for this coming weekend in the Cherry Capital of Australia! WEATHER FORECAST
We are hoping that our cherries will hold up, as we welcome our many booked in visitors to Ballinaclash. BOOK PICK YOUR OWN
The cooler, damp weather last weekend, didn’t seem to worry many of our pick your owners, and there were certainly smiles aplenty on the faces of both the young and old as they wandered in the very fresh air, ate cherry ice creams and cherry pies and just generally had a fun time! We are very grateful to our loyal customers for their continued support in rain, hail or shine!
This week we are amazingly still picking Earlisweets and Supremes, varieties that are usually well and truly over by now.
The cool weather has slowed down the ripening making this quite a late season. This weekend, our Vistas and Vegas should be ripe for the picking.
On a different note, we received great news on Friday when the results of The Australia and New Zealand Boutique Wine Show were announced. Of the 4 wines we entered, all 4 of them won awards! These were all 2021 Vintage, so a great start in the life of these very young wines. The 2021 Jack Shiraz, the 2021 Bridie & Peter Rosé and the 2021 Mad Dog Riesling all won Bronze Medals, and the 2021 Sarah Fiano, won a Siiver Medal. To try these wines, you can book a wine tasting at our Cellar Door BOOK WINE TASTING or buy them online from our shop. We are looking forward to welcoming you over the coming weeks to Ballinaclash.
